Winter holiday festivities are underway in all manner of live service games, and Marvel Rivals is no exception. The superhero shooter is dropping new winter-themed skins and bringing back Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival to help players celebrate the season. But starting on December 24th, there’s even more holiday joy for players to claim. A new login event will offer up free daily units for players for the next several days.

The Winter Gift event in Marvel Rivals runs from December 24th to December 27th. During that period, players who log in and visit the in-game Christmas tree in Times Square will be able to claim a free, random amount of Units. This is just part of many exciting ongoing winter events to round out 2025 in Marvel Rivals. Let’s dig into the details.
How to Claim Free Units in the Winter Gift Event in Marvel Rivals
Players can claim one Winter Gift per day in Marvel Rivals during the event period. That means you can get 3 total free gifts, which will each offer up a randomized amount of Units. Unlike many “free” gift events, there’s not a huge lift here in terms of in-game tasks to complete. Instead, players simply need to head to the non-combat Times Square map in Marvel Rivals. Then, head over to the Christmas Tree and interact to claim your free Units.
The amount of Units players receive is reportedly completely random. Many players have already begun sharing the amounts they received on Reddit and other social media sites. So far, the average seems to be in the realm of 100-150 units. That means that over the course of the event, players are likely to get around 300-450 total Units. The lowest-tier skins cost around 600 Units, so the event won’t quite get you there. But it’s a nice boost on the road to saving up free Units if you’re fully free-to-play in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals Winter Holiday Skins
Along with the free Units in Times Square, Marvel Rivals is celebrating the season with some new and returning winter-themed skins. The Festive Throwback event will bring back several limited-edition costumes, which will be available in the in-game shop from December 19th to January 2nd, 2026. The returning bundles include:
• Storm – Ultimate Wind-Rider Bundle
• Magneto – Binary Sword Bundle
• Venom – Snow Symbiote Bundle
• Magik – Frozen Demon Bundle
• Iron Fist – Lion’s Gaze Bundle
• Black Widow – Lion’s Heartbeat Bundle
• Groot – Holiday Happiness Bundle
• Rocket Raccoon – Wild Winter Bundle
• Hawkeye – Galactic Fangs Bundle
• Captain America – Galactic Talon Bundle
Along with these returning bundles, a few new skins will arrive in the in-game shop, as well. From December 19th to January 16th, 2026, players will find 3 new winter skin bundles on offer:
- Peni Parker – Snow-SP//dr Bundle
- Star-Lord – Starcracker Bundle
- Daredevil – Not Daredevil Bundle
And as one last holiday gift, two more new winter-themed skins were just revealed. Thor – God of Winter and Claok & Dagger – Ice Pas de Deux will be available starting on December 26th through January 23rd. Players can find the new and returning skins in the in-game Marvel Rivals shop. Hopefully, those free Winter Gift Units will help you save up for the icy skin of your choice.
