This is truly the year of girls running around in skimpy sleepwear and high-tech vampires that suck blood using gadgets instead of their mouths. At least, as long as Limited Run Games has their way.

The company, which previously announced that it’s bringing back the Sega CD classic Night Trap to consoles this year, has confirmed that it’s also working on bringing some love to fans that love the Night Trap soundtrack.
It confirmed on Twitter this past week that it will bring out a 7″ vinyl that contains the infamous theme song โ which we included the video for above, because why not? It’ll be offered alongside the game’s release when it comes out this summer for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Pre-orders haven’t opened up yet, but if it’s anything like the company’s previously released soundtrack for one of its previous indie releases, Risk of Rain, then it’s likely to go very quickly.
The album features vintage cover art similar to that of the Sega CD release, with a cheesy vampiric killer (complete with electronic tubing) chasing after a scantily clad babe. And the album is blood red, so you know Limited Run Games means business when it comes to its production.
More than likely, the album will sell somewhere between the $20-$30 range upon its release โ maybe less if all it has is just the one theme song for it โ and it’ll likely get snapped up quickly by collectors who also purchase a physical copy of the game from Limited Run Games. Your best bet is to keep a close eye on its website and pre-order when you get the chance.
As for Night Trap itself, well, we’re sure to get more footage of the game soon, showcasing Limited Run Games’ work in digitizing the video just right for a new generation of players to enjoy. Of course, it’ll still be vintage Digital Pictures cheese at its finest, so you won’t have to worry about any of the campy quality going away. After all, it isโฆNight Trap!
Night Trap will release sometime this summer for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Of course, you can play the original game on Sega CD as well.
