The Overwatch first anniversary event just went live, but that's not the only way that Blizzard is celebrating the debut year of its hit franchise. The company has officially released its Game of the Year Edition of Overwatch, and fans can get their hands on a copy for dirt cheap.

Blizzard has confirmed that the game is available for a "special introductory price of $40," though it's likely to be a limited time deal before it goes back up to $59.99.

This edition of the game features "the full roster of Overwatch heroes, maps and game features, as well as an arsenal of bonus content and Overwatch-themed goodies for several Blizzard Entertainment games," the team noted.

Here's what's all included in the package, including what's available for other Blizzard games. Note: it's a lot.

  • Overwatch: Enjoy 10 Standard Loot Boxes, each containing a collection of random items that can be used to customize your favorite heroes. Loot Boxes may include skins, emotes, victory poses, voice lines, sprays, and highlight intros, as well as credits you can use to unlock a variety of different customization options.
  • Overwatch: Origins Skins -- Pay homage to the original Overwatch strike force with vintage skins of Blackwatch Reyes for Reaper and Strike-Commander Morrison for Soldier: 76. Explore other heroes' origins with Overgrown Bastion, Security Chief Pharah, and Slipstream Tracer.
  • Diablo 3: Mercy's Wings -- Slay demonic forces throughout the High Heavens and Burning Hells while donning Mercy's wings, and all of Sanctuary will know of your allegiance to Overwatch!
  • StarCraft 2: Player Portraits -- These picture-perfect portraits of Tracer, Reaper, Pharah, Winston, Bastion, and Soldier: 76 give new meaning to the phrase "Hero of the Koprulu Sector."
  • Hearthstone: Overwatch Card Back -- If you happen to find yourself in a Tavern Brawl, show your opponent you've got backup with an Overwatch-themed card back.
  • World of Warcraft: Baby Winston Pet -- Adorably cuddly and highly intellectual, the Baby Winston pet will be at your side as you fight to extinguish the Burning Legion.
  • Heroes of the Storm: Tracer Hero -- The cavalry's here! Jump into the Nexus with Tracer and surprise your enemies in the blink of an eye.

Now, you don't have to pick up the Game of the Year Edition if you don't want to. In fact, the standard edition of Overwatch is available for dirt cheap as well, going for $30 for a limited time. You can also upgrade to the Game of the Year Edition for $10 if you feel like plunking down the cash.

If you're still not familiar with Overwatch for some reason, don't worry. There's a free weekend that's happening this weekend, from May 26th through the 29th, where you can try out the game before you buy it. And chances are these sale prices will be good throughout the weekend, so you can still get your action on and then get the whole package for a song. Definitely don't miss this deal, though – it's worth its weight in gold

Overwatch is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
