Even though Square Enix is focusing on its future projects, like Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, that doesn’t mean it’s given up on Final Fantasy XV. In fact, it still has some downloadable content coming for that game, and it’s collaborating once again with Play-Arts to produce its most dazzling figurine from the series to date.

The toy manufacturer has announced a new Play-Arts Kai Final Fantasy XV Aranea Highwind video game figure, which is set to be released next week. The figure will stand at 10″ tall, and will include multiple interchangeable hands, as well as a helmet (kinda see-through, but still awesome), a spear, a Dragon’s Tail and a figure stand that allows you to put it on display. We’ve included an attached gallery to show you just how much detail is going into the figurine, and it’s really something.
Play-Arts has done really well on its Final Fantasy figurines in the past, a line that includes the likes of Cloud Strife, Sephiroth, Gabranth, Squall Leonhart, Barret Wallace, Cindy Aurum (our favorite from Final Fantasy XV to date), Kai Balthier, Kai Gladiolus, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, Ignis, Nyx Ulric, Hero of Light, Kai Rufus, Kai Noctis, Prompto, Fran and a handful of others. It’s a line of extraordinary detailed figures that fans can’t get enough of, even if their pricing makes it hard to get the whole set, since they go for around $129-$149 apiece. Hey, that’s a small price to pay for Final Fantasy brilliance โ just ask any fan that’s followed the series for the past few years.
Areana Highwind hasn’t been priced just yet, but she’s expected to go for around $149, as with previously offered figures from Final Fantasy XV. Pre-orders haven’t gone up just yet, but you can probably find this figure at places like BigBadToyStore.com, and maybe even Amazon. Shop around when the figure goes on sale starting June 19th.
It’s hard to tell which figure will come down the line next in the Play-Arts series, but with the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series being as wide open as they are, the possibilities are endless.
