Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition Officially Arrives On Nintendo Switch, Gets A Launch Trailer

Rayman Legends originally came out a few years ago for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC, bringing back the limbless hero and his friends in one of their biggest adventures to date. We've since seen it re-released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, without losing any of its momentum, but we were wondering when it would be available for Nintendo Switch.

Wait no longer, because it's here! Ubisoft has confirmed that the multiplayer-friendly platforming adventure has made its way to Nintendo's platform, available for the reasonable price of $39.99.

In it, Rayman and his pals must set out to rescue Lums from a dangerous new foe, who promise to wreak havoc across the countryside unless the quartet of heroes can stop them.

The game has a number of great features on the Switch, including the four-player cooperative support we've come to expect, along with an exclusive wireless local multiplayer mode revolving around Kung Foot, the soccer-style game where you can kick balls into goals with any of your favorite characters.

For those of you on the fence about picking the game up, you'll be able to check out the demo, which is available in the eShop and should give you an idea of what Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition is all about. There's also the official launch trailer for the game, which you can see above. It'll definitely get you in the mood to take on the hundreds of platforming challenges that await in the game – and that's just getting through the opening levels. Wait until you reach some of the more diabolical later ones that are included.

There's a lot to see in the trailer above, including a peek at the Kung Foot mode that'll let you slam it like Renaldo (or Rayman-aldo, eh?), and you can also see the platforming that you'll see within the game, whether you're going solo or have a good battle group in tow.

We loved previous versions of the game, so we can't imagine the Nintendo Switch edition being a slouch. Definitely check it out when you get a chance!
