Rocket League is about to get a very big boost from its community, as the game's free Autumn update has finally arrived!

The big highlight for the update, which should prompt automatically once you start the game up, is a new Seasonal Arena called Farmstead, which will have you kicking around balls down on the farm.

In addition, there are a number of new Customization items available, with over 90 in all, and free of charge to boot. Players can also customize their profiles with Player Banners, and try out the new standardized arenas and transparent goal posts, which you can now choose from before you start up a match. The standardization of arenas is a big option for both competitive and casual online players, and heavily requested by fans.

And for those players that look to play locally against others on PC, there's also LAN support available now, so you can kick butt locally and show everyone your mad Rocket League skills.

Finally, Competitive Season 6 of Rocket League is beginning today, and with that, Psyonix has introduced a series of new rewards that will make players feel better about their accomplishments, including the following:

  • Bronze I or higher – Season 5 Bronze 'Dragon' Player Banner + Season 5 Bronze 'Standard' Player Banner
  • Silver I or higher – Season 5 Silver 'Dragon' Player Banner + Season 5 Silver 'Standard' Player Banner + lower Banners
  • Gold I or higher – Season 5 Gold 'Dragon' Player Banner + Season 5 Gold 'Standard' Player Banner + lower Banners
  • Platinum I or higher – Season 5 Platinum 'Dragon' Player Banner + Season 5 Platinum 'Standard' Player Banner + lower Banners
  • Diamond I or higher – Season 5 Diamond 'Dragon' Player Banner + Season 5 Diamond 'Standard' Player Banner + lower Banners
  • Champion – Season 5 Champion 'Dragon' Player Banner + Season 5 Champion 'Standard' Player Banner + lower Banners
  • Grand Champion – 'Season 5 Grand Champion' in-game Title + Season 5 Grand Champion 'Dragon' Player Banner + Season 5 Grand Champion 'Standard' Player Banner + lower Banners

"To our outspoken, dedicated community members, THANK YOU as always for your feedback," the developer noted. "We hope you enjoy the new banners and the rest of this week's massive update."

Kudos to Psyonix for adding so much for the price of pretty much nothing. Now let's get some Rocket League matches going!

Rocket League is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will release for Nintendo Switch later this year.
