Hey, we’re all for video game-themed cakes. Whether it’s for a wedding and featuring Mario and Peach on top (or whoever your favorite gaming couple is), or creating a neat little Halo number that reminds you of your undying fandom for the series, they’re not only a great way to celebrate something, but also quite delicious, based on what we’ve tried.

But the team over at Delicut Cakes, may have just taken the prize for the ultimate video game cake. The team has created a truly inspired – and incredibly awesome – God of War cake that looks almost too good to eat. It’s simply amazing – and, more than likely, Sony Santa Monica may want to give them a call when it comes to preparing something like this for God of War‘s launch party on PlayStation 4.
We’ve included a full gallery that shows every angle of this cake, which features a mighty Kratos standing atop the head of a mighty statue, looking around to see which enemy he can tear apart next. It’s definitely an amazing feat.

Greek mythology has always fascinated me especially the conflicts and wars waged by the Titans and the Gods. Kratos is the main character in the God of War series of video games on which the comics and novels were based on.
So Good From The Depths Of Hades
Kratos, depicted as lacking in feeling, is a Spartan warrior who grows to be the “Ghost of Sparta” after Ares, the God of War, tricked him into slaying his family. Kratos himself then becomes the God of War after killing Ares, and is eventually revealed to be the son of Zeus. Kratos is later sent to the Netherworld by Zeus as punishment for wanting to destroy the world, and is stripped of his godly powers by being converted into a human. Kratos then embarks on a series of adventures in an attempt to reach Mount Olympus and so avenge his fate by killing Zeus.
So, Should We Eat Kratos?
The image I have chosen represents Kratos’ having beheaded a sculpture of Zeus, which epitomizes his hate towards his father.
We’re not sure if the cake is available for purchase, but, yeah, it’d definitely get people talking at our next party.
Does The Cake Bleed?!
While we’re at it – does the cake bleed cherry sauce once you cut it open? Because, you know, God of War and all…
Sony’s new God of War game doesn’t currently have a release date, but we should learn more next month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
