Getting UFC action is great. But getting UFC action for free? That's something even better.

And now you can get all the action you want over the next few days, as EA Sports has announced that its latest competitive fighting game, EA Sports UFC 2, is now available as part of Xbox Live Gold's Free Play Days.

Running from today, August 15th, through Monday, August 21st at 11:59 PM PDT, you can partake in the entire game free of charge. All you need to do is download it, start it up, and get to fighting. (Well, maybe take on the training first so you don't get your butt handed to you.) The trial will last as long as you keep it on your system through the trial period.

If you find that the game is to your liking, it won't cost you that much to add it to your library. EA Sports has noted that it will offer the game for 75 percent off the regular price through that same Free Days Period, meaning you can score all the knockouts you want for dirt cheap, whether it's with the UFC heavy-hitters, or with one of the rookies making their way up the ranks.

On top of that, any Achievements and save progress you make in the trial version of the game will carry over to the full release, so you don't have to worry about starting over from scratch.

"EA Sports UFC 2 features the all-new Knockouts Mode, where you can experience more authentic KO's than ever before. Every knockout is now unique, and finishing the fight has never been more satisfying," the company noted in the press release.

So if you haven't had the opportunity to try out the game yet, you'll be able to go to blows with EA Sports UFC 2 on the house. Of course, if you have EA Access on top of that, you can probably go ahead and download the game from the Vault anyway. But at least it's cheap if you don't have it.

EA Sports UFC 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Make sure you check it out!
