Here they are – the very first action figures from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Hasbro revealed the new Rey and Luke Black Series figures via Hasbro.com, though that page has since been removed. Still, the pics are out in the wild, and there a few interesting details to glean from them.

The 6-inch Black Series figures depict Luke Skywalker in the Jedi Master robes and cloak that we’ve become familiar with since the end of The Force Awakens. Rey, on the other hand, is in her Jedi Training outfit, and she comes complete with a lightsaber, blaster and staff. Check out the gallery to take a closer look at the figures.
It may or may not be important to point out that Rey’s lightsaber is still Luke’s and not her own forged blade. Meanwhile, the Luke figure is completely accessory-free. Where’s Luke’s green saber? Is this a spoiler? Is Hasbro trying to AVOID a spoiler? Inquiring minds want to know. On the plus side, it’s only a matter of time before some toy manufacturer screws up and releases information early. It happens every time. We shall know soon enough as the bulk of the toys based on The Last Jedi are slated for release on September 1st.
That having been said, Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi Black Series figures will be available as a San Diego Comic-Con convention exclusive with a wide release happening on August 14th. According to Nerdist, the figures will run $50, but you can expect to pay far more at SDCC (or far, far more on the SDCC aftermarket) for the privilege of owning them early. And who knows what might be added to the figures when they arrive in stores?
