LEGO Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory Set #23160 / $219.99 / Available to Insiders Between 9/15 and 9/17 with free Sega Genesis Controller Set
The LEGO Willy Wonka set is a trip to say the least. It’s a brick-built recreation of Wonka’s chocolate factory complete with a “working” chocolate waterfall, the Wonkatania boat for Golden Ticket winners, a secret Oompa Loompa door to Willy Wonka’s office, candy plants, and more. There are also 9 minifigures: Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe, Augustus Gloop, Mike Teavee, 2 Oompa Loompas, Veruca Salt and Violet Beauregarde.
The 2025-piece set will measure 7.5 in. (19 cm) high, 20.5 in. (52 cm) wide and 10 in. (26 cm) deep when complete. You can get your order in here at the LEGO Shop now. Orders will open up to the general public at 12am ET on September 18th, though there’s no reason to wait when becoming a LEGO Insiders member is free.
LEGO Sega Genesis Controller GWP Set
This 260-piece brick-built reproduction of a Sega Genesis controller can be displayed in two ways. Choose from the classic form or flip it around to display the microscale Green Hill Zone scene on the back that includes Sonic and Crabmeat. If you have a room dedicated to gaming and you’ve been collecting LEGO gaming releases like the upcoming Game Boy, this is a must-have addition. It will come free with all LEGO purchases of $130 or more through September 17th – or while supplies last.
Again, seems like a strange GWP combo, but we have no doubt that there are many fans of retro gaming that are also fans of the trippy 1971 Willy Wonka film.
