Last year, Gentle Giant celebrated 40 years of Star Wars (and Kenner's infamous Early Bird Certificate Package from Christmas 1977) with the Star Wars Jumbo Vintage Early Bird Kit action figure set. Only this version isn't an IOU for Star Wars figures that haven't been released yet. It actually contains four massive reproductions of the original Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 figures with accessories.

Ordinarily, getting your hands on this set would set you back between $220 and $300 on sites like eBay However, you'll be able to order it right here from Entertainment Earth for only $112 with free shipping starting at precisely 11am PST (2pm EST). It will be listed as "not for sale at this time" until the launch. Odds are they won't last long, so we highly suggest that interested parties start refreshing early. "Gentle Giant Ltd pays tribute to a classic Star Wars story 40 years later with Star Wars Jumbo Vintage Early Bird Kit Kenner Action Figures. This amazing 4-pack comes in a retro box mimicking the original Early Bird envelope. Inside is the familiar white mailer tray with Luke Skywalker (with his double telescoping lightsaber… the first double telescoping lightsaber in the Jumbo line), Princess Leia (with a white vinyl cape and blue blaster), Chewbacca (with a greenish Early Bird crossbow blaster), and R2-D2 (with a clicking head). Also included are larger reproductions of the stickers and a large foldout replica display stand that holds the "original 12" figures, with the perforated cards attached to the front.
