Harmon may not have any superhero credits to his name, but does have a reputation with geek community, largely due to Harmontown, live show and podcast where he plays roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons and Shadowrun with friends in front of an audience. Joe and Anthony Russo โ the directors of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War โ also worked with Harmon on Community, leading to a trend of Community-related cameos in the Marvel cinematic universe.
Sources tell THR that Harmon was brought on after principal photography wrapped and that his scenes will be filmed during planned reshoots.
Harmon is joining director Scott Derrickson as a co-writer, as well as C. Robert Cargill. Derrickson and Cargill share a story credit by Jon Spaihts.
