Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) walks into the home he once shared with his now-deceased wife and children. He grabs a picture frame with his loved ones and smashes the glass. He isn't upset nor is he breaking things in a fit of rage — he's retrieving a CD behind the picture with the word "Micro" written on it in marker.

The scene happened in the waning moments of Daredevil's second season and it left more questions than answers. Now, thanks to a post on the Daredevil social media accounts, we may be some more details surrounding Castle's spinoff Netflix series The Punisher.

Published on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, the Daredevil marketing team shared an image of the aforementioned CD with three different captions. On Facebook, the caption read "Tomorrow's answers are hidden in the past," while the captains on Twitter and Instagram said "Seek and you shall find," and "There's a storm comin'," respectively.

While we don't know all too much about the plot of The Punisher, we do know that the show has been under production and we know that Girls alum Ebon Moss-Bachrach has been cast as David Lieberman, a.k.a. Micro, in the show.

Through the vast majority of the comic source material, Micro has served as an ally to The Punisher, although recently the two have become bitter archenemies.

Are you excited for Bernthal's Frank Castle to get his own Netflix series? Let us known in the ComicBook Anticipation Rankings below!

The cast of The Punisher includes Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Paige), Daniel Webber (Lewis Walcott), Jason R. Moore (Curtis Hoyle), Paul Schulze (Nurse Jackie), Jamie Ray Newman (Sarah Lieberman), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Micro).

Two seasons of Daredevil have debuted on Netflix while one season of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are available on the streaming service. Iron Fist drops later this week, which will then lead into the Defenders. Somewhere in that mix is also the Punisher series, the second season of Jessica Jones, and the third season of Daredevil, but those have yet to be dated.
