It looks things are about to get busy for SHIELD‘s agents. Next week, ABC will bring back Agents of SHIELD following its thrilling midseason finale, and the show is coming back strong. The drama will enter a brand-new storyline when it returns, and it plans to pit humans against life model decoys. Now, the network has released a new promo for the episode, and it will get fans fired up.

The ominous clip teases that a revolution is brewing over at Agents of SHIELD. Led by Aida, a horde of LMDs are set to make life a mess for SHIELD, and it looks like Agent Coulson and his crew will be in the line of fire. The clip shows agents like Fitz and Daisy Johnson being ganged up by their unassuming enemies, but none of them are more terrifying than Aida herself.
“Life Model Decoys are prearing a revolution,” the promo warns, “and SHIELD will pay.”
Here’s the official synopsis for Agents of SHIELD‘s LMD storyline:
On the heels of their encounter with Ghost Rider, their strangest phenomenon yet, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. suddenly find themselves up against a myriad of new and ongoing threats: The anti-Inhuman Watchdogs are gaining political influence with Senator Nadeer, and uniting behind a mysterious benefactor. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the team, Aida has kidnapped Agent May and replaced her with a Life Model Decoy. Aida’s evil plans for May and the team remain a mystery.
The Agents of SHIELD midseason premiere episode will be titled “Broken Promises” and start the LMD story arc. Here’s the episode synopsis: “Though Coulson and May are growing closer, Coulson remains unaware of the dark secret May is hiding beneath the surface. Meanwhile, Aida is unrelenting in her search for the Darkhold.”
