Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise her role as Jeri Hogarth on Iron Fist, the currently-shooting fourth Netflix and Marvel TV series. It's the last solo series before the four heroes - Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, all team up on a mini-series called The Defenders.
When Moss debuted on Jessica Jones, many noted that Jeryn Hogarth (who she plays a gender-swapped version of) is more closely associated in the comics with Iron Fist, whose book he first appeared in. A friend of Wendell Rand, Danny's father, Hogarth eventually became the lawyer for "Heroes for Hire," the superhero business that Danny Rand and Luke Cage ran together.
"Carrie-Anne has fast become a fan-favorite part of our street level saga, and we share our viewers’ excitement in bringing her into Marvel's Iron Fist," Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb said in the press release. "As marvel fans know, Hogarth in the comics plays a critical role in the life of Danny Rand, so it seems only fitting that Carrie-Anne join in."
"Danny Rand lives in the highest stratosphere of New York's business society and he's going to need a ruthless lawyer to help him navigate this alien world," added EP and showrunner Scott Buck. "I'm very happy to have the opportunity to bring Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth into Marvel's Iron Fist."
This will be Moss's third appearance in the Marvel/Netflix series, as she also made a cameo in Daredevil season two. She joins Finn Jones as Danny "Iron Fist" Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum.
In “Marvel’s Iron Fist,” Danny Rand returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting his world around him with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
