Between the Star Wars Universe, the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man—in addition to their already sizable catalogue—they’ve pretty much secured a monopoly on key figures in everyone’s childhoods.

Now the Walt Disney Company is recognizing the legacies of those who helped establish the companies before they were acquired.

As a part of the 30th Annual Disney Legends Award Ceremony at this year’s D23 Expo, CEO Bob Iger will be inducting icons such as Carrie Fisher and Stan Lee into their own hall of fame.

Carrie Fisher, who past away late last year, will also be joined by her on-screen brother Mark Hamill. The two portrayed Leia and Luke Skywalker in four different Star Wars films so far, with a fifth on the way at the end of the year.

Stan Lee had a hand in creating some of the most iconic superheroes in comic books, television, and film. He co-created the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and many others alongside Jack Kirby, and co-created Spider-Man with Steve Ditko. He is widely regarded as one of the creative forces who guided Marvel to the success it is today and can be seen making cameos in many of the movies based on Marvel characters.

Those three will be joined by Oprah Winfrey, who will play a role in the forthcoming A Wrinkle In Time from director Ava Duvernay and also starred in The Princess and the Frog, among other collaborations with ABC and Disney.

Deceased Pretty Woman and Beaches director Gary Marshall and Lion King on Broadway director and visionary Julie Taymor are also being honored, alongside Manuel Gonzales, Wayne Jackson, and Clyde “Gerry” Geronimi.

The distinction is the highest honor the Walt Disney Corporation offers to employees and collaborators who have made indelible impacts upon the company’s storied history.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, July 14 at the D23 Expo.
