Deadpool 2 might have been a no-show at San Diego Comic Con, but Ryan Reynolds is giving fans a gift for their patience. Earlier today, the actor took to Twitter to share a first-look image of Zazie Beetz as Domino. And - as expected - the Internet is living for the sudden reveal.
Social media has been flooded with compliments regarding Domino, and you can check out some of the best reactions below. Reynold's picture sees Domino lying seductively on a bearskin rug which swaps out fur for Deadpool himself. The mutant is shown donning a tight leather bodysuit and rocking natural hair that's got fans saying afro goals.
If you are not familiar with Beetz, then you should know the actress is an up-and-coming one. The star got her breakout role in FX's Atlanta, and she reportedly won Domino's role against talent like Janelle Monae and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
As for Domino, the character is an important one in the Deadpool canon. Rob Liefeld created the character to be a mutant mercenary whose powers give her good luck. Domino can manipulate probability within her favor within a certain range, giving her unnaturally good luck. Domino is also known as a traditional love interest for Cable, and she became one of the founding members of his mutant squad known as the X-Force.
So, how do you feel about Beetz's take on Domino? Hit us up on Twitter @ComicBook to let us know!

Ryan Reynolds will return as Wade Wilson, a.k.a. Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth. For the sequel, he'll be joined by Josh Brolin as Cable. Cable was co-created by Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld and Louise Simonson. He has often been paired with Deadpool as his grim, serious demeanor serves as the perfect foil to Deadpool's crude and zany humor. The duo headlined an ongoing comic book series, Cable & Deadpool, for 50 issues.
Atlanta star Zazie Beetz has also been cast in Deadpool 2. She will play Domino, a mutant with probability manipulation abilities that endows her with improbably good luck. In the Marvel Comics Universe, Domino was a member of Cable's mercenary crew, Six Pack, and one of his early love interests.
Jack Kesy has been cast in an undisclosed villain role, speculated to be Black Tom Cassidy. Shioli Kutsuna has also joined the production in an undisclosed "key" role.prev
