We now have our first look at Professor Xavier in the upcoming Wolverine 3.
In some new set photos (courtesy of Just Jared), a bearded and older looking Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) is seen pushing Xavier (played by Patrick Stewart) through a crowd of people outside of a Casino on their way to a parked truck. A young girl can also be seen in the photos, but we don't know which character she is playing as of yet. There are 15 pictures in all, which an be viewed on their site.
Recent reports suggest that the film will be titled Weapon X, and will somehow implement the Old Man Logan storyline into Hugh Jackman's last outing in the popular role. He's stated this is his last film as the character, which has led some to believe that X-23 will be introduced in this film so she can carry on the legacy in future movies.
Titling it Weapon X does fit where we last saw the character in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is set during the eighties, and with Xavier making an appearance, who knows what other older versions of the X-Men might show up. If the storyline adheres closer to the comics version of Old Man Logan, sadly there won't be many options, as the X-Men are devastated pretty early on after the Villains all unite to take down the heroes.
Wolverine 3 is set to drop into theatres on March 3rd, 2017.
