The replica long sleeve “Gears Shift” shirt is designed to look exactly like the one Peter Quill/Star Lord wears in the movie.
“This officially licensed replica is the real deal. It features all the detail of the original shirt in the movie, right down to the chest and arm paneling. Whether it’s for cosplay or casual, this is the Guardians shirt you’ll want,” said Merchoid Community Manager Jessica Adams in a statement.
One fan has already translate the Klyn logo as reading ‘Gears Shift’, which Chris Pratt said he thought was “from a candy wrapper from the first movie”. The shirt is available to preorder now from Merchoid for $35.99.
The ‘Red Dawn’ jacket is inspired by Star Lord’s motorcycle jacket and is designed to be a casual, everyday jacket that can also be used for cosplay. The faux leather jacket features a few subtle details to alert fellow fans to your tastes, including an inner lining with the ‘Gears Shift’ logo, an Awesome Mix Tape Vol. 2 zipper pull, and an integrated Guardians pin badge. The jacket is available to preorder from Merchoid now for $99.99.
The two new premium items join the rest of Merchoid’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 range, which debuted last month.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).
