Filming for Avengers: Infinity War is well underway and after filming abroad for a few months, production is slated to move to New York City some this summer.

The movie is set to be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe to feature Thanos in a prominent role, so when a set picture surfaced online that depicted chaos on the streets of the Big Apple, it’s not all too surprising to see exactly how destructive the Mad Titan and his crew of Black Order cronies really are going to be.
Thanks to reddit user /u/WREPGB, we see a typical New York taxi missing nearly a quarter of the car, which appears to have been cut off.While the post on the Marvel Studios subreddit says that the filming for this particular scene was taking place on Luckie Street in Atlanta โ a typical filming stronghold for Marvel properties, thanks to the Peach State’s tax credit program.
However, if you look closely at the cab, the signage on the tap of the vehicle has a faux advertisement for the New York Lottery, meaning the location most certainly is a stand-in for New York City.
After all, we’re talking about Thanos here.Some measly cab missing the front passenger’s seat is going to be the least of the Avengers’ worries as they work to save the world from the Mad Titan and his Infinity Gauntlet.
Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel are filming back-to-back for a May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 release, respectively.
