Over on Tumblr, a scan of the latest SFX Magazine issue hit the Internet, and it houses a bit on The Punisher. The spread features a new image of the series which sees Frank Castle dressed in dark clothing. The guy has a gun pointed to the back of Turk Barrett‘s head, and the runner doesn’t look happy about being accosted.
According to the photo’s caption, Turk will appear in Argo’s warehouse and run into Frank. The latter is expected to be looking for a cheap smartphone, and Turk is either the man peddling the tech or trying to steal it for someone else.
Turk may not be a major character in Netflix’s Marvel series, but he is a recurring one much like Claire Temple. The villain appeared way back in Daredevil‘s debut episode and continued to pop up throughout seasons one and two. Turk forewent an appearance in Jessica Jones to pick back up in Luke Cage, and the character briefly appeared in The Defenders this year.
The Punisher may see Turk meet up with Frank for the first time, but the small-time criminal has talked up the vigilante before. In the past, Turk tried to sell protection to Hell’s Kitchen residences when the Punisher was on his killing spree. When fans last saw the baddie, Turk was working for Diamondback, so The Punisher could feature a lead-in for Luke Cage‘s second season if Turk starts to talk.
Marvel’s The Punisher will premiere on Netflix in November.
