It looks like someone from Thor: Ragnarok is a fan of the DCEU marketing campaign, at least if the newest posters are anything to go by.
Two new Thor: Ragnarok posters feature the standoff between Hulk and Thor seen in the trailers. That isn't altogether new, but each poster is viewed from one character's perspective, with the arm and weapon seen on the right-hand side of the poster. You might remember that this was used in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice marketing campaign, with two of the early posters sporting the same style.
In those posters, one viewpoint was from Batman's angle, as he tries to land a punch on Superman. The other poster shows Superman bracing for impact, though he is also winding up his other hand to give that punch right back. Batman noticeably does not have his armor on, so for his sake hopefully, he misses.
So, who used it better? You can see the comparison below.

While the posters might be alike, the tone of the films is nothing close to similar. Even in the first trailer, it is apparent that the tone for Thor: Ragnarok is much on the lighter side, with plenty of fun banter and adventure interspersed between the dramatic moments.
"If we were taking things a little too seriously," director Taika Waititi explained to the LA Times, "I would say, 'Never forget that we're making a cosmic adventure with a space Viking.' That sort of captures it all. We've got the Incredible Hulk, and a giant woman with antlers. We've got aliens and spaceships. It's almost like a bunch of kids were asked what they wanted to put into a movie, and then we just did that."
Even that fight between Thor and Hulk, while hard hitting, will be filled with some levity. The Thor films have always excelled at humor, and thankfully nothing is changing for the latest one.
Thor: Ragnarok currently enjoys a 4.17 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's composite rankings, and you can submit your vote for the film here.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3rd, 2017.
