Holland's next appearance is Peter Parker's Marvel Cinematic Universe solo movie debut in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but could we see Holland's Spider-Man appear alongside the Avengers again sometime in the near future?
Speaking at the New York Film Festival premiere of his latest movie, The Lost City of Z, Holland said that's all still to be determined, but there are talks taking place.
"It's all up in the air," said Holland. "I believe some sort of deal is in the mix, but I'm unclear as to what that deal is."
Avengers: Infinity War is already confirmed to include, in addition to some form of the Avengers themselves, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange. Fans are hoping it will be an epic crossover on the same level as the Infinity Gauntlet comic book story that inspired it, which featured practically every character in the Marvel Universe. In order for that to be the case, Spider-Man's inclusion is practically a necessity.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts, from a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
