The release invites viewers to get up close and personal with the filmmakers and cast to see how this beloved animated film was transformed into a new live-action classic, from the first enchanted table read to a fascinating look at how the film was brought to life utilizing lavish sets, elaborately designed costumes and props, and state-of the-art technology.

Disney had to actually best itself, as Finding Dory was the previous record holder with a domestic haul of $486.3 million and a worldwide total of $1.03 billion. Beauty and the Beast has bested it in both regards, bringing in a domestic total of $487.7 million and a worldwide total of $1.19 billion. Disney seems to always be competing with itself, and to earn the top spot on the worldwide PG list it will have to beat Frozen, which currently sits at number one with $1.28 billion.
