A delightful – and bizarre – new commercial for MoneySupermarket.com shows He-Man and Skeletor teaming up in a unique way. According to the commercial for the British website, using the site’s services inspires the age-old rivals to put aside their differences and boogie in a biker bar.
You can check out the commercial below.
While the concept of the iconic foes engaging in a dance routine might seem blasphemous to some Masters of the Universe fans, the end result is pretty fantastic. The ad is filled with plenty of creative details, from He-Man’s super-strength sending Skeletor through a wall, to the villain’s quintessential laugh ending the commercial.
This is just the latest Money Supermarket advertisement to pair Masters of the Universe with 80s hits, as a previous ad shows Skeletor getting down to Irene Cara’s ‘Fame’.
Coincidentally, Masters of the Universe could be made into a live-action film in the near future. A new reboot of the franchise has been in development for quite some time, with McG (Charlie’s Angels, This Means War) initially set to direct Twilight‘s Kellan Lutz in the film.
Sony added a new Masters of the Universe film of the to its slate earlier this year, with a release date of December 18th, 2019. While it’s unknown exactly what the Master Of The Universe reboot will become, it’s safe to assume it won’t include as much awesome dancing as this commercial.
