Jimmy Kimmel had Jon Favreau as a guest on his ABC show Wednesday night promoting the new Marvel film, Spider-Man: Homecoming. The discussion ranged from his early films, such as Swingers to cooking. But of course Kimmel would be a bad interviewer if he didn’t try and prod some info about the currently in production Avengers: Infinity War out of him.

Kimmel asked, “Is Happy Hogan the character you play involved in the Avengers Infinity War movies?” Playing a bit coy but clearly answering the question, Favreau discussed his travel plans. “I don’t know what I’m at liberty to say but I will be going to Atlanta during the filming of… Avengers. So I don’t know…
Kimmel interrupted, “Little point to you going there if you’re not in the movie?” Favreau agreed, “That’s an interesting, you make an interesting point.”
So, unless this is all a canard and Favreau is visiting the Walking Dead crew in Georgia or is taking on some new production role like retaking the directors chair, Happy will be making a return to the screen when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters in May 4, 2018.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is still doing well at the box office even after taking a drop in the box office in it’s second week and is currently at over 750 million dollars. Marvel is currently in talks with Spider-Man: Homecoming’s director, Jon Watts, to stick around for the sequel.
