Man Of Steel hovering

In a recent interview with SFX Magazine, director Zack Snyder described Superman flying as being a violent experience. Zach Snyder said, “It’s raw. It takes effort to do it, and that’s what we were really going for. It’s almost like there’s this kind of Right Stuff quality to it. He’s constantly booming around, accelerating. You think he’s going as fast as he can and then it’s like ‘Yeeaahh!’ He’s always got an extra gear he can use.”Snyder’s description had many (including us) believing that we probably wouldn’t see Superman hovering or floating in Man Of Steel. However, a new promotional image has surfaced (via the unofficial Man Of Steel Facebook page) that appears to show Superman hovering. The promotional image is part of a campaign that is being run by Hersheys in Canada for a chance to win an Invincible Alaskan Adventure.Of course, since this is a promotional image, there’s no guarantee that the image actually appears in the Man Of Steel movie. Will Superman sometimes hover or float in Man Of Steel? Or will he always fly at a high rate of speed? Or maybe he will gain more control over how he is able to fly over the course of the movie.Man Of Steel is scheduled to open in movie theaters on June 14, 2013.
