The Wolverine In Avengers 2

Earlier today, director Bryan Singer announced that he had cast Evan Peters as Quicksilver in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The announcement came as a surprise, because Joss Whedon had recently indicated that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch would be part of Avengers 2. Some have suggested that the move was nothing short of an act of war from 20th Century Fox against Disney. However, in a new interview in this week's Entertainment Weekly, The Wolverine producer Hutch Parker doesn't sound like an executive at war with a rival studio. In fact, when asked about the possibility of Wolverine appearing in Avengers 2, Parker said, "I don't even know how to handicap that. But it would certainly be exciting to see." This is the second time a Fox executive has gone on record indicating it would be cool to see a crossover between their Marvel movie characters and Disney's Marvel movie characters. Mark Millar told SFX Magazine, "Fox have said that they want to build a cohesive universe and I'd personally like this to work in complement to the Marvel one. It would be cool if these universes didn't contradict each other so if you went to see Spidey, the Avengers, the X-Men, etc, as a viewer you would have no idea that all three are coming from different studios. I'd love to make it look like they're all just happening in one place." So are 20th Century Fox and Disney at war? Or are they working out a deal for their characters to at least peacefully co-exist in the same universe?
