Joel Furtado has released the first installment of animated fan series X-Men: Danger Room Protocols.

The episode feature Wolverine and Jean Grey teaming up to take down a pack of Sentinels. Easy enough, a certain, much tougher breed of Sentinel arrives, but that’s a fight for the next video.

X-Men: Danger Room Protocols is an animated fan series inspired by the X-Men comics and animated series of the 1990s, described by Furtado as a “love letter” to the Marvel characters of his youth. Each episode will feature a different pair of X-Men going up against some of the mutant’s most merciless villains in Professor X’s holographic Danger Room simulations.
