Not even Jason David Frank could’ve seen the monumental success of Power Rangers coming, and 25 years later he returns to where it all began.

Specifically his evil Green Ranger days. Frank shared an image with him on the rocks looking out into the ocean saying “25 years ago this is where we filmed Power Rangers!!! Evil green ranger scene Crazy…… JDF.”
Mighty Morphin was filmed all over California, but the Angel Grove Beach itself was filmed at the Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas. Other locations like the Command Center and High School were filmed at the Brandeis-Bardin Institute in Simi Valley and Ulysses S. Grant High School in Van Nuys respectively.
Lots of things have changed since those days, including how much fighting and training is involved in the individual episodes. Frank recently compared the Mighty Morphin days to newer seasons and the differences that have surfaced between the two.
“Even now you go and look back at some of the episodes (Mighty Morphin) and you’ve got Ninja Steel, and all these episodes there’s not a lot of fight scenes in it, they’re not fighting Putties. So when we were in season 1 it was like hardcore training. We did front suicides on concrete, we did all of our own stunts. I was there early all the time saying “give me, give me, give me, let me do some stuff!”
