Seriously, last chance.

Ay-yi-yi-yi!

Okay, you’re still here, so here we go. Issue #20 introduces a new team of Power Rangers, a team that until now Zordon has refrained from talking about. It was revealed in issue #19 that Grace Sterling, the leader of Promethea, was Zordon’s original Red Ranger, and issue #20 reveals her first mission did not go as planned.

Zordon and Alpha-5 bring the team together after the sudden reappearance of the Green Psycho Ranger, who is trying to free Rita from her prison on the moon. The team consists of Grace (Red Ranger), Daniel (Pink Ranger), Nikolai (Blue Ranger), Jamie (Black Ranger), and Terona (Yellow Ranger), with Grace put in charge of the team. They successfully get to the moon and find Rita’s prison, but then things go horribly downhill.

The team splits into two groups, as Nikolai and Jamie head out for some reconnaissance. Unfortunately, someone is watching them, and the Green Psycho Ranger manages to surprise them. The other three hear the commotion and head over to the fight, but not before the Psycho Ranger nearly punts the Nikolai out to space. The Psycho Ranger wastes no time and lifts a boulder up over his head. Despite her pleas, he lets it fly, heartlessly crushing her.

Despite Terona telling him to wait, Daniel charges at the Psycho Ranger and is met with a full force palm that crushes his visor in the process. As Grace rushes to his aid, the Psycho Ranger knocks the three remaining Rangers back and is just about to free Rita when they use the Power Blaster to destroy him.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t die and instead morphs into his second and massive monstrous form. The Rangers retreat but stumble upon one of Zordon’s artillery cannons. It doesn’t have much juice left, so to make sure those shots count Nikolai takes the gun and walks towards the Psycho Ranger.

“We will save the earth today Grace. Make sure it’s worth saving,” Nikolai says, jumping towards the Psycho Ranger. It swallows him whole, but Nikolai fires the gun from the inside, completely destroying both of them in the process.

The Rangers won the day, but what started as a team of five returned home as a team of two, with the Red and Yellow Rangers the only survivors.

That’s not all the issue had to offer, so it is well worth reading in its entirety. You can find the spoiler images in the gallery, and you can check out our full review here.
