The Power Rangers and the Justice League are working quite well together, but things get crazy when the Rangers have to raid the League’s closet.
Spoilers incoming for Justice League/Power Rangers #4 and 5, so if you haven’t read the issues yet you’ve been warned.

Thanks to the meddling of Brainiac and Lord Zedd, the Rangers make it over to the DC Universe, but they end up losing their power coins and Zords midway through. After they make their way back to their home universe, Batman shows his knack for being prepared for any situation by bringing along a plethora of items from the Justice League vault to help them even the odds.
What comes next is a fantastic mash-up of Ranger skill and Justice League weaponry, and it makes for some pretty stellar results. The Rangers will need all the help they can get as they try and rescue Angel Grove from Brainiac’s ship, and like always, everyone can just thank Batman once this is all over.
So now it’s time to meet the Power Rangers Justice League, starting with the ever resourceful Bill Cranston.
Blue Ranger Billy Cranston – Prometheus
Yep, the group’s resident genius goes for an equally resourceful villain’s gear in Prometheus. Prometheus’ body suit provides plenty of armor against Putties and soldiers alike, but it’s the infamous head gear that truly stands out. Now, it isn’t said if the helmet can still download information directly into the user’s mind, but give Billy 10 minutes and he can probably get it working.
What the suit does not provide is a weapon, but luckily there was no shortage of weapons in the Justice League vault. Billy ended up going with the gold trident of the Blue Devil. Makes sense since his usual weapon of choice is the Power Lance. Granted, Blue Devil’s trident can’t split in two on command like the Power Lance, but it is an equally efficient weapon.
Pink Ranger Kimberly Hart – Hawkgirl
While they are foreign to his whole DC Universe thing, the Power Rangers are still enormously resourceful, and the League is starting to learn that it seems.
Take for instance Kimberly, who decides to take the weapon of a classic League member in Green Arrow. The guy’s got what, 500 bows at this point, so it seems he stored a few in the Justice League vault.
In any case, Kimberly doesn’t just grab the bow, but also his trademark boxing glove arrow. She looks a little puzzled at first, but when Flash goes to explain she says, “No, I get it. It’s for when you want to punch someone who’s a long way away. It makes perfect sense.”
Too bad Green Arrow wasn’t on hand to enjoy someone getting his thinking for once.
On the costume front, Kimberly opts for some armor and another League member’s helmet, that of Hawkgirl. It’s pretty surreal seeing the Pink Ranger as a mash-up of Hawkgirlย and Green Arrow, but somehow it works.
Black Ranger Zack Taylor – Starman
While other Rangers went the villain or Justice League route, Zack decided to go a different way with his arsenal.
First up was a choice of weapon. Now, Zack typically wields the Power Axe, and it turns out there’s a quite formidable weapon in the DC Universe that’s very similar. It’s called the Atomic Axe, and as The Flash explains, “The Atomic Axe can cut through almost anything, so, you know, try not to drop it on your foot.”
Armedย with the former weapon of the Persuader, it was time to pick a costume. Zack appears to have chosen an old suit worn by Starmanย of the Legion of Super Heroes. It has a similar look, though without the starfieldย and some added armor. Still, going with the Legion theme that surfaced from the Atomic Axe, it’s a safe bet.
Yellow Ranger Trini Kwan – Katana
You have to imagine with such a large vault and the urgentย natureย in which he searched it, Batman didn’t get to bring along many complete sets. Luckily for Trini he did manage to grab a few.
That’s why she can be seen in complete Katanaย gear from head to toe. Katanaย wears an updated version of this costume these days, so perhaps they stored an old version of it in the past. In any case, it seems to also come with a Katana, though odds are it isn’t the Soul Taker sword that Katanaย currently wields.
Soul Taker or not, she’s quite deadly with it as she demonstrates aboardย Brainiac’sย ship, taking out soldiersย left and right. When she gets back to Headquarters, she might want to ask Alpha about trading in those daggers for a sword.
Red Ranger Jason Scott – Red Hood
The Power Rangers leader reached back into the Batman archives for his new gear, and in a different place, Batman might even have recruited him for his team.
Jason Scott’s Ranger weapon is the Power Sword, so it makes sense that he would go for a similar loadoutย in the DC Universe. Turns out the vault has plenty, but one, in particular, was previouslyย held by a Batman ally. That wouldย be the sword of Azrael, and as Batman explains, “if the user’s will is strong enough, it can…”
Before he can finish, the sword lights up in flames, so yeah, Jason’s will is just fine.
As for armor, Jason pulls another former villain/ally out of the pile with the Red Hood’s helmet and suit, though he doesn’t opt for the jacket.
Wonder if Jason will want to take that home after this is all done…
Green Ranger Tommy Oliver – Lex Luthor
Leave it to Tommy Oliver to find a complete suit of powerful armor in the pile, in green nonetheless.
That’s what he did though, picking up a version of Lexย Luthor’sย New 52 war suit. The suit is heavily fortified, and, as seen in previousย Superman encounters, comes loaded with weaponry. Tommy takesย to this quite easily, as it essentially acts as a slimmed-down Zord. He doesn’t even have to play aย flute to make it appear.
Tommy seems to like it, saying, “Oh, I can work with this.”
The suit stands out for its alien-like helmet,ย indicating it is the suit that gained some sort of sentience after Luthorย created it. Tommy already has a long history with people trying to control him, so hopefully that function was turned off before they stuck it in the vault.
