Slight spoilers for Power Rangers are ahead, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet you’ve been warned.

The original Yellow Ranger was seen in the opening sequence, reaching out to Zordon. Her costume disappears, revealing another alien-like character underneath. The role was played by actress Fiona Vroom, who shared some closeups of her extensive makeup on social media (via Power Rangers NOW).

She posted a caption along with the photos that read “I make a great alien. What can I say. #powerrangers #prostheticmakeup #alien #actress.”

The original sequence was understandably quite dark, but in the photos you can see the rich details and coloring in her skin, as well as her beak-like nose and indented ears.

As Dean Israelite originally told ComicBook.com, there were even more Rangers in the opening sequence at one point.

“There was an original drop that I read when I came onto the movie that had a more extensive battle in the beginning of the movie. And it had, I think, if I remember correctly, some of the other Power Rangers in there.”

Eventually, they opted to keep it more intimate, focusing on Zordon and Rita’s struggle as the Yellow Ranger gives up her power coin. There are legions of fans out there who would love to learn more about the original Rangers, something that the team can possibly tackle in the sequel.

Power Rangers currently has a 73.17 on ComicBook.com’s composite rankings.
