If you have been keeping up with Star Wars, then you know the franchise is almost ready to debut another installment of its Skywalker Saga. In December, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will make its way into theaters and pick back up shortly after The Force Awakens ended. Fans have been clamoring for footage of the much-anticipated film, but Lucasfilm has kept everything about the project on the down-low save for its logo. However, if one noted fan-site is right, then The Last Jedi will unveil its first trailer soon - and it will be more than a simple reel.
Over on Twitter, Star Wars News Net got fans buzzing over a simple post not long ago. The site shared a message which wrote, "The Last Jedi trailer that will debut at [Star Wars Celebration Orlando] will definitely have the 'full trailer' feel, no just a brief teaser."
Down in the comments, fans asked if the site could verify the claim came from sources attached to the film, and SWNN did say they had gotten the information as such.
Of course, many fans have all but expected The Last Jedi to debut its first footage at Star Wars Celebration. However, this note from SWNN is a step in an even brighter direction. Some fans had worried that Lucasfilm may simply show a roll-call reel which simply has character posters of its stars. However, after news having broke recently that Disney shared footage of The Last Jedi at a shareholders, the fear dissipated somewhat.
Fans cannot anticipated how long the trailer for The Last Jedi will be, but fans hope it will be long enough to glean some plot information. Official details about the movie have been hard to come by, and enough reports have been shared to get fans excited.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi, from writer/director Rian Johnson, is in post-production now for a December 15, 2017 release. The film follows-up and continues the story of the next generation of the saga as Rey, Poe, Finn, and Kylo Ren find their place in the galaxy and follow the legacy of Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Han Solo. Daisy Ridley returns to star as Rey, with other returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa. Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern join the cast in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
