The New Covers
The issue offers more insight into Rey's journey to Ahch-To, where she's hoping to find the Jedi legend of myth that she's heard so many stories about.
Instead she discovers "a man overpowered by regret, eager to close the book on his past while living out the rest of his days on an isolated island."
Though Luke Skywalker might be living a life of solitude on the ancient Jedi planet, he will not be alone. We've already seen a glimpse at the adorable, penguin-looking Porgs from the D23 behind-the-scenes reel. EW's feature promises a look at even more new creatures that will also populate the island.
The issue also promises a look into Finn, played by John Boyega, on a Resistance mission to the casino planet of Canto Bight alongside newcomer Kelly Marie Tran who will play Rose, a mechanic and self-described "nobody" in the fight against the First Order.
It also promises a story about the late, great Carrie Fisher from co-star Oscar Isaac "that will make you miss her even more than you do now, if that's possible."
But back to that cover of Luke, is this a sign of things to come when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters? We'll find out on December 15th.
