After the release of the latest film in the Star Wars saga, it's safe to say that many fans would like to own a porg. But three lucky people who helped create Star Wars: The Last Jedi managed to get the next best thing.

Of course, porgs don't actually exist — but the animatronics and puppets created by Lucasfilm for the movie are coveted items. We knew that Rian Johnson was gifted with one of the porgs, including a remote allowing him to control some of its movements.

Lucasfilm creature designer Neal Scanlan revealed to Endor Express that Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy was also lucky enough to take one of the porgs home, as well as producer (and Rian Johnson collaborator) Ram Bergman.

Writer and director Johnson previously revealed that he was gifted a functional porg by the creature design team, but now we know Kennedy and Bergman were also fortunate to receive the coveted bird animatronic.

Of course, people seem to be split on porgs; John Boyega (Finn) is not a fan, admitting he was creeped out when he saw them on the set of the Millennium Falcon while filming scenes for The Last Jedi. But Daisy Ridley (Rey) was able to divide her character's apathetic attitude toward the creatures, saying that she herself was a huge fan.

Unfortunately, they might have to wait until Star Wars: Episode IX before they can Scanlan in hopes of joining that elite club. So far, only three people on the planet have their own authentic porg. What will it take for that level of craftsmanship to be released to the public at large?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now playing in theaters everywhere.
