'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Full-Length Trailer Reportedly Debuting This Monday

The latest report in a months-long series of erroneous reports about the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer has now projected that a full-length trailer will debut this Monday, February 5, on Good Morning America. Rumors have claimed that a teaser for the film would debut during Sunday night's Super Bowl, with this latest report claiming that this teaser either won't happen or will be a snippet from the official trailer.

The source of the information comes from a website used to obtain tickets for Good Morning America tapings, with Monday's listing revealing the information about Solo. The site has since removed the information, which might mean the above image was erroneous and the upcoming episode won't feature the trailer at all.

Many of these details are merely conjecture, as we doubt GMA would leak details about Solo, yet the morning show's trend of debuting Star Wars footage would certainly point at the program being the place where footage would premiere.

These details would confirm reports from earlier this week that Disney's promotional campaign for the film would finally begin soon, with the film hitting theaters in less than four months. Fans are both excited and anxious about the upcoming film, as some theories point towards Disney's lack of faith in the film for reasons why we've yet to see an official image or footage.

The teaser for The Force Awakens premiered more than a year before the film's official release, while The Last Jedi's teaser debuted eight months ahead of its premiere. Disney is clearly taking a new approach with the upcoming film, yet audiences are unaware of what has caused this change.

One theory is that, with the film's original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller departing the project to be replaced by Ron Howard, Disney feels like the film's quality is disappointing and they are trying to delay criticism as long as possible. Another theory is that, given the public backlash from a very vocal minority of fans following The Last Jedi, the studio hopes the negative attention dies down before dropping the first glimpse at a new adventure.

Whenever the teaser does or doesn't debut, Solo: A Star Wars Story is still slated to open on May 25.
