Wherever Carrie Fisher went in the last few years, you could be certain you'd see Gary Fisher, her adorable French Bulldog and service animal in tow. He went on talk show appearances, was out with her at the press conferences for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and generally stayed by her side at all times. Gary even has his own official instagram page (but no twitter account, no matter what other sources may tell you).

Many fans wondered what Gary's future would be with Carrie's horribly untimely passing, and a new report from TMZ says the pup will be going with Billie Lourd, Carrie's daughter. According to a family friend, Gary was always meant to go with Billie if anything happened to her mother. Billie also has a french bulldog, Tina, and the two dogs are reportedly already friendly.

Carrie and Gary became an internet sensation last year during the press tour for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, when he started appearing on the talk show circuit, usually with his tongue hanging out looking a little dopey but always incredibly lovable.

"Gary is like my heart. Gary is very devoted to me and that calms me down. He's anxious when he's away from me," Fisher said of the french bulldog.

With so much time spent directly with Carrie, the dog must be very confused right now - he was on the plane with her when she had her heart attack, as well. As for Billie Lourd, it's impossible for most to imagine losing their mother - who they are close with personally, and work with professionally - in their early twenties.
