Disney and 21st Century Fox's landmark deal heavily benefits Marvel, but you might be surprised at what Star Wars also gets out of the deal.
Disney has already developed quite a few films since acquiring Lucasfilm back in 2012, which it purchased for $4 billion dollars. While that gave it pretty much everything in the Star Wars landscape, it did not include the original theatrical versions of the original Star Wars films, which were held by 20th Century Fox. Disney owned the digitally remastered versions of the films, but not the original ones.
With the deal now officially in place those rights now move over to Disney, completing its ownership of Star War assets. You can bet that Disney won't ignore that fact, and will probably get around to re-releasing them at some point in the future.

In the official announcement, Walt Disney Company chairman and chief executive officer Robert A. Iger expressed his excitement at the deal's potential.
"The acquisition of this stellar collection of businesses from 21st Century Fox reflects the increasing consumer demand for a rich diversity of entertainment experiences that are more compelling, accessible and convenient than ever before," Iger said. "We're honored and grateful that Rupert Murdoch has entrusted us with the future of businesses he spent a lifetime building, and we're excited about this extraordinary opportunity to significantly increase our portfolio of well-loved franchises and branded content to greatly enhance our growing direct-to-consumer offerings. The deal will also substantially expand our international reach, allowing us to offer world-class storytelling and innovative distribution platforms to more consumers in key markets around the world."
