The LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Boston, Massachusetts is hosting a special Star Wars themed weekend this week, they announced on their events page. The "LEGO Star Wars Days" will take place from November 11-13, 2016, and there will be lots of fun for Star Wars fans of all ages.

A Star Wars expert and LEGO Master Builder will be on hand, creating a large Star Wars themed model that visitors can go contribute to. They'll be teaching through the "Master Builder Academy" to make you the best LEGO builder you can be, as well.

A MINILAND Scavenger Hunt will have LEGO Star Wars characters and items placed throughout the exhibit, giving kids a chance to find their favorite characters, and win prizes and giveaways. The Brick by Brick Mosaic, similar to what's been done at comic conventions and Star Wars Celebration events, will be on hand, as well, letting fans all contribute to one large mosaic-style mural made out of the snapping bricks.

Finally, there will be Star Wars costume fan groups, like the 501st, on hand for photo ops and a chance for kids to meet Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, and other fan-favorites. Register for tickets for the weekend at their website. A similar event was held last weekend at LEGOLAND in Schaumburg, IL.

LEGO and Star Wars have gone together for years now, whether it's in the actual building toys or in the video games based on both franchises. A LEGO Star Wars animated series, "The Freemaker Adventures," debuted this year to critical praise, and new LEGO sets will be released to support Rogue One: A Star Wars Story when it hits theaters December 16, 2016.
