The talented team at Sphero have truly outdone themselves with the upgrades they’ve made to their new Star Wars Force Band.

It was slick enough when it just operated the incredibly cool remote control BB-8, but now it’s had time to develop even more features and has adopted a visual design that feels like it was taken directly from the set of Star Wars (via Gizmodo).
There’s no reason something this authentic looking can’t be comfortable, and the band comes with an adjustable nylon strap. It also features a magnetic latch to keep it from falling off your wrist. It’s an invaluable addition, as you’ll be moving your hands a lot, especially if you happen to have an RC BB-8. You can control his movements with simple gestures, and if you happen to own the previously released SPRK or Ollie, the band will work with those as well.
As you can see in the video, Sphero also decided to include a new feature called Combat Training Mode, which uses your gesture-based movements to trigger iconic sounds from the films, like those of blasters and lightsabers. If that wasn’t enough, the band also includes a collectible holocron experience that uses the haptic feedback to unlock new features in the included app.
You can just kiss all that productivity goodbye.
The formidable device will start hitting stores on September 30th and will retail for $80. If you also want to snag a special edition battle damaged BB-8, you can grab the bundle for $200. You can view more photos of the Force Band in the gallery.
