For those unfamiliar with the Star Wars, which is to ensure consistency in canon throughout all facets of storytelling. If you’re active on Twitter, they are the team at Star Wars universe. The attending members of the Story Group are as follows:

Steve Blank – Lucasfilm Story Group

Leland Chee – Lucasfilm Story Group

Pablo Hidalgo – Lucasfilm Creative Executive

Matt Martin – Lucasfilm Story Group

Rayne Roberts – Lucasfilm Creative Executive

Kathleen Kennedy led the initiative back in 2012 to create the Story Group to abolish the previous hierarchical canon system. At the time, there were many tiers of what was considered canon in the Star Wars universe, from George Lucas Canon, which focused on the films, to Television Canon, based on animated series, and Continuity Canon, which included many Star Wars books.

Since the creation of the Lucasfilm Story Group, all subsequent Star Wars stories have been unified in the same canon, with many previously released books and comics now being considered outside of that canon, referred to as “Star Wars Legends.”

Considering they’re some of the biggest experts on the world of Star Wars in the entire galaxy, any panels or presentations that the Story Group might participate in are sure to be worth attending.
