The Star Wars world has been invading Disney for a few years now, as their purchase continues to reap benefits. Star Wars Land is in construction at both American parks, Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida, but that's still at least a couple of years from launching. In the interim, both parks have been running Star Wars themed events, expanding their Star Wars offerings, and adding months of additional activities called "Season of the Force."

Now, that goes international as Disneyland Paris launches Season of the Force in January 2017. The new attractions will see three special events, including a light show, a live stunt show, and a new parade.

Star Wars: A Galactic Celebration is a new nighttime show with projections, special effects, music, and live Star Wars characters that plays out the major moments from the Star Wars saga. It's a brand-new show done just for Disneyland Paris (with similarities to shows stateside, of course), so it sounds like an international trip is in order for Star Wars fans.

Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away is a new live action show with stunts and special effects bringing "dazzling displays of the Force to life." Another show that sounds similar to what's been done at Season of the Force stateside, it's sure to have some new nuance for the European crowd.

A formal parade, and a more general presence will be felt by the army of the First Order and the Empire. In the First Order March, Captain Phasma leads the First Order battalion through the park. But even when they're not on the march, you'll see Stormtroopers patrolling the grounds, on the hunt for rebels. They'll never find you though, right?

Finally, the Jedi Training Academy re-opens at Disneyland Paris in January, to teach Padawans aged 7-12 in the ways of the Force.

Ironically, this Season of the Force will be without the main attraction: Star Tours: The Adventure Continues. The popular ride, a mixture of 3D screen and physically-moving ship, will not open at Disneyland Paris until the tail end of the event, on March 18, 2017. Paris was the last park to get the upgrade, already in operation at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Tokyo Disneyland.

Season of the Force launches at Disneyland Paris's Walt Disney Studios Park on January 14, 2017, and goes through March 26, 2017. Head to the Disneyland Paris site for more information on how to book for international or local travelers.
