The 90-minute episode, “How It’s Gotta Be,” is expected to adapt Negan’s attack on Alexandria from issues #119 and #120 of Robert Kirkman’s comic books.
AMC has been advertising the last episode of 2017 as “epic” and “shocking,” featuring a moment everyone will be talking about.
The newest TV spot teases an action-packed finale and an image shared on The Walking Dead’s official social media accounts suggest a character will be bitten on tonight’s episode.
Major twists are expected going into The Walking Dead’s winter break: one fan-favorite character is at risk of losing a limb, while another major character is potentially on the chopping block as the next big character to die following a mounting cache of evidence.
Enid actress Katelyn Nacon expects fans to have a “love/hate” relationship with tonight’s episode, which will change The Walking Dead moving forward.
“It’s going to be a mid-season finale so there’s going to be some drama of course. There’s always drama with this show. There’s going to be a change that happens,” Nacon revealed. “Not necessarily a huge shift, but the second half of the season is going to be pretty different emotionally.”
Carl Grimes actor Chandler Riggs weighed in similarly on Twitter, writing, “A lot of really hard work has gone into this episode from the entire cast and crew to make something incredible, exciting, and emotional. You don’t wanna miss this one. Trust me.”
The Walking Dead airs its extended mid-season finale tonight at 9/8c on AMC.
