Every Movie & TV Show Coming to Streaming This Weekend (September 19th)

If you were hoping for a weekend full of big movies at home, your wishes are coming true. This weekend is packed with new streaming additions on services like Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Peacock, and several others. Unlike most weekends, though, the next few days are going to bring multiple theatrical hits to streaming for the first time.

The biggest streaming release of this weekend flew onto HBO Max on Friday morning, as James Gunn’s Superman finally made its streaming debut. Just a couple of days ahead of the film’s 4K and Blu-ray release, Superman landed on HBO Max and has a chance to become one of the service’s most-watched movies of the year. The film made $615 million at the box office and garnered fantastic reviews, so it is poised to be a streaming hit as well.

If horror is more your thing, another 2025 hit is coming to streaming this weekend, though this one is landing over on Netflix. 28 Years Later, Danny Boyle’s long-awaited zombie threequel, made $151 million at the box office and captured fans of the franchise with its new take on post-apocalyptia. 28 Years Later hits Netflix on Saturday but, to get people excited for the film’s arrival, the streamer surprise-added 28 Days Later on Friday morning.
