Vince McMahon set the wrestling world a blaze this past Monday when he announced the first ever “Superstar Shake-Up” which will see stars from each brand swap places in the hopes of re-energizing the WWE landscape.

Many had speculated that WWE would be having another draft this year, but weren’t exactly sure how the event would be formatted considering how hard it would be for the brands to start from scratch. WWE revealed that the shake-up would function more as a trade deadline than a draft with deals being made between GM’s Daniel Bryan and Kurt Angle.

Thursday we heard backstage reports on some big names that are rumored to be switching brands and while it’s easy to speculate on those trades, we want to look at this the same way WWE creative is likely viewing it. More than just getting fresh faces on different television shows, we’d like to look further down the road and see what type of storyline possibilities could evolve from throwing new fish inside the tank.

If done correctly, these trades could lead to not only opportunities for stagnant superstars, but the reformation of some of the WWE’s most powerful factions and even a few potential dream matches.

5. Get Luke Harper away from The Wyatt Family

Luke Harper

The Era of Wyatt is just beginning. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before. Look, I love Bray Wyatt. I love The Wyatt Family. I don’t love how many times they’ve been booked on the losing end of a big feud. It makes all their really spooky mind games and demon powers seem pretty useless. As long as Harper is on the same brand with Bray, he will inevitably be wrapped up in their storyline.

Now that he has shown that he can shine on his own, and wash his tank top, let’s get him to RAW so he can develop his own legacy – which could fall somewhere between a lovableย Mankind and Bruiser Brody.

4. American Alpha and Kurt Angle on the same brand

American Alpha

We all know that Jason Jordan and Chad Gable were created in a lab using the DNA of Olympic Gold Freakinย Medalist Kurt Angle. Now, can we please get them on the same show? While Jordan and Gable already have showed tremendous ability in the ring, their comedic sensibilities seem to line-up perfect with Angle, who was one of the funniest performers in WWE history.ย

I’m not asking for Alpha to form an alliance with Angle, but I think it would do wonders for them to be around him every week.ย

3. Turn Dean Ambrose Heel

Deam Ambrose

I know. I know. We don’t turn people heel anymore. We just let the crowds decide. But still, the WWEย Universe needs to see how brilliant heel Dean Ambrose can be. Even as a member of The Shield, Ambrose was barely allowed to scratch the surface of the sadistic character he was known for during his time in the indys as Jon Moxley.ย

Ambrose is one of the most beloved stars in WWE, but he’s currently stuck at the top of the midcard. The Lunatic Fringe, himself, stated that he believes his best run will come in his next chapter of the WWE. Let’s turn the page and letย that chapter begin now, on RAW.

2. Reunite The Usos With Roman Reigns

wwe-roman-reigns-usos

For months I have been begging to get Roman Reigns back with his cousins, The Usos. Before the brand split, The Bloodline, as they were known, were becoming the most interesting storyline Reigns had been in since leaving The Shield. And that was before The Usosย dropped all the facepaintย and became super bad asses.ย

Now that the Usosย have been allowed to become more of their real selves, Roman Reigns should be allowed to do the same. Let these guys embrace their family’s amazing history in the wrestling business and run roughshod over RAW. Let them become a legitimate threat to Brock Lesnar’s reign as Universal Champion

1. Universal Championship program between AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar

The most heavily rumored name to make the jump brands is AJ Styles. If his new red/black gear and his rant on Tuesday’s Smackdown Live about not wanting to jump brands is any indication, we feel pretty safe in assuming The Phenomenal One will be the face that runs Monday Nights.ย

So, the next question is what dream scenarios await the most talented wrestler in the world. I’m sure Styles could have a few wrestling clinics with Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens, but his greatest performances are against competition that can give him a different style in the ring.ย

AJ’sย grace and fluidity would be a perfect contrast for Lesnar’s brute force. Ever since Lesnar has returned, he’s mostly been featured in bouts against other WWEย behemoths, but the feudย we will all likely remember him for is with Kurt Angle.

A former collegiate wrestling star, Lesnarย would surely love to show off some of his technical skills against the best in the world.

I dont’ care who is the face and who is the heel, just make this happen, WWE!ย

Which stories are you most hoping to see unfold as the WWEย shuffles the roster?ย
