First up, Zack Sabre, Jr will face off with Flash Morgan Webster. The second qualifying match will see Jack Gallagher with the “Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne. The event itself is sold out, so be sure to follow WWE with updates on who advances in the this tournament.
Next up, we have the EVOLVE contenders.
Then, on Saturday, May 7, in Queens, N.Y., EVOLVE Wrestling hosts two qualifying matches, giving four competitors the shot of a lifetime. Two of EVOLVE’s most prominent mat technicians, reigning EVOLVE Tag Team Champions Drew Gulak and Tracy Williams, will face off against one another in the opening bout.
The second match sees 15-year in-ring veteran TJ Perkins square off against the up and comer Fred Yehi. While the PROGRESS event has been sold out, tickets are still available for the EVOLVE matches. It’s a rare chance to see independent stars who are knowingly on the verge of crossing over to the big leagues.
The winners of these matches will earn a spot in the Global Cruiserweight Series along with the following competitors:
-Rich Swann
-Johnny Gargano
-Tommaso Ciampa
-Noam Dar
-Akira Tozawa
-Ho Ho Lun
-Lince Dorado
WWE’s Cruiserweight Global Series starts July 13th, only on the WWE Network.
