Samoa Joe has been on the WWE main roster for just over two months and the Triple H henchmen does not plan on being without a strap for very long.

He recently told Fox Sports that in his mind he is ready for a championship push in the very near future. More specifically, inside six months.
“In that timeframe, if I’m not holding gold then I’m getting ready to take gold off of somebody and make it my own,” he said. “I come in with the highest expectations of myself. I come in with the highest goals in mind whenever I approach anything. Seeing myself as a champion in WWE is something I’ve seen from the first day I stepped into the Universe and the realm of the company.”
His early returns have indicated that, perhaps, he is not speaking out of turn as his push has been very real.
He debuted by crushing Seth Rollins — ultimately injuring the full-face in the altercation — then bettering Vince McMahon favorite, Roman Reigns, the week after. He followed that up with beating Sami Zayn at WWE Fastlane and Chris Jericho on RAW the next night.
His latest appearance was a gang-up with Kevin Owens to beat down Jericho, once again.
Joe was a fan-favorite with Ring of Honor and TNA before coming to the WWE and proved his merit through NXT, where he won the title over Finn Balor, last April.
He went on to say that after the time he has put into the business, a simple stop in WWE is not the final step on his staircase.
“It’s the reason why I’m here,” he said. “I’m not here to be a contributing member or ‘live out my dream’ and just try my best. I’m here to be a champion, and I’m here to be one of the best champions in the history of the company. That’s firmly what my goals are and where my eyes are set, and that’s what I expect of myself in that timeframe.”
