Is another familiar face from Marvel's Netflix series joining their upcoming series The Defenders? Well, it sure looks like it. The studio already confirmed several actors like Eka Darville and Elden Henson will be reprising their roles on the show, and now, it seems like Rachael Taylor might be added to the list.

The actress recently posted a video of herself training to Instagram. Donning pink boxing gloves and a loose blue tank, viewers can watch as Taylor beats up a punching bag. The actress wrote a short message to accompany the video which reads, "Vacation is over! Working the bag is my least fave thing with training (which is why I gotta do it! 😬😡💪) w @julian_chua @marvelsjessicajones @netflix."
Of course, fans know Taylor as she plays Patricia "Trish" Walker on Jessica Jones. The character stands as Jessica's adoptive sister and best friend who also moonlights as a radio host. And, eventually, Trish finds herself sporting the superhero alias of Hellcat. When it comes to Jessica Jones, the pair's friendship is one of the show's defining elements, and fans quickly came to love the girls' witty banter.
So, if you're wondering how this video signals the actress' involvement with The Defenders, the answer comes down to shooting schedules. With Taylor actively training right now, it would make sense for her to be prepping for an imminent role. Well, since Jessica Jones' second season won't be filming until next year, it's unlikely she's hitting the gym for that show. But, as The Defenders is set to start shooting within a couple of months, it's far more likely Taylor is training for that series. And, since Jessica will be appearing in The Defenders, it would be odd if her best friend didn't show up in an episode at some point.
While the show's official premiere date isn't yet known, Marvel Television has promised the The Defenders will be hitting Netflix sometime next year.
