Ever since Adam West became the Caped Crusader, he has taken part in countless interviews over the decades, and because of that, he's often asked the same questions over and over again, but today at New York Comic Con, where the 88-year-old actor is promoting the world premiere of the animated film Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, West was quite pleased to be asked a question that he doesn't recall ever being asked before.

Our own Jim Viscardi asked: "Who do you regret not having had a chance to work with on the show, or who were some of the pople you wish got a chance to be on Batman with?"

"One day, Kim Novak called my assistant and said, 'Do you think he would have lunch with me?" Should I spill? So, I put on my bathrobe over my costume, took off the cowl. Up pulls this Jaguar convertible, with her driving. And I said, 'Oh my god, I'm the luckiest bat in the world.' I got in the car, and we had lunch. And we had a good time. And she drove me back to stage and I just had a feeling that she really wanted to do the show with me. And she just came off that wonderful movie with Jimmy Stewart, called Vertigo (1958), so I was quite impressed and I would have loved to have worked with her — as one of the characters."

He then added a few more names to his wish-list: "I think, Henry Fonda (On Golden Pond), maybe Kirk Douglas (Spartacus), and if he was alive, Robert Donat (Goodbye, Mr. Chips). He was so good."

It's back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman's most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. The four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It's a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!

The film features the vocal performances of Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin) and Julie Newmar (Catwoman).

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will be available November 1, 2016 on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD. It will be available to own on Digital HD starting October 11, 2016.
